IGP Configuration Commands

These commands are performed under either router ospf or router isis. Some commands are OSPF only, and others are IS-IS only. All commands start with mpls traffic-eng.

Command Modifiers Default Use
…area {0-4294967295} Not set OSPF only. Determines in which area to enable MPLS TE.
…level-1 None Not set IS-IS only. Determines at which level to enable MPLS TE.
…level-2 None Not set IS-IS only. Same as level-1.
…interface {interface-name area area-number} Not set OSPF only. This is used when you have a virtual link in area X across a physical link, and you want to advertise that link into area Y.
…multicast-intact None Not set Allows multicast to use the real physical interface, not a tunnel interface, for RPF purposes; see Chapter 10, "MPLS TE Deployment Tips."
…router-id {interface-name} Not set Sets the MPLS TE RID carried in OSPF or IS-IS advertisements.
…scanner interval 1-60 seconds 5 seconds IS-IS only. The …scanner interval and scanner max-flash knobs control how information is copied from the IS-IS database to the TE database.
